I have bamaGallery 2.3 installed and configured. The test from the admin menu works and reports all is ok, but when I go to upload an image, either through the admin menu or as a registered user, it will not upload.

When I try to upload through the admin menu, I get no errors of any kind, just no image.

And when I try to upload through the user menu, I get an error 203.

The images I have tried to upload are of jpg and png format, but neither works. I can read German, but it is a little rusty. Havn't lived there since 1993.

Hi Jim, wollte mir deine Seite ansehen, aber Zugriff verweigert! Der Zugriff auf das angeforderte Verzeichnis ist nicht möglich. Entweder ist kein Index-Dokument vorhanden oder das Verzeichnis ist zugriffsgeschützt. Sofern Sie dies für eine Fehlfunktion des Servers halten, informieren Sie bitte den Webmaster hierüber. If I understood you correctly, you said that my site denied you access with a 403? AH, just looked at the apache conf file and your domain was denied access. We had issues with someone coming from dip.t-dialin.net before so we had it denied. I have removed that access block now, but the site in question is one of my virtual domains under MyDot.net. The site that I am trying to run Bama on is http://mnj.mydot.net. If you want to get in and have a look at the bamaGallery setup, please email me or IM me on Yahoo! @ PagingDrGrnThumb or on AIM @ Born2B2gthr. This is a private members only site for adults. So I will grant you access for your assistance if you would like. But this must be done outside of this forum.

Hi Jim, wie in deiner phpinfo zu sehen, ist register_globals auf Off eingestellt, damit läuft die Galerie nicht, entweder du kannst register_globals auf On einstellen, oder du wartest auf die nächste Version in dieser wird das mit berücksichtigt Cu Hans

Hans, I did turn register_globals to On, but still not working. Is there anything else I can do to try to get this to work? And thank you for logging into the site to check the bamaGallery. Hallo, ich möchte mich hier einreihen.... Also ich hab das selbe Problem trotz geänderter PHP.ini? Mein Portal ist Lokal installiert. Gibt es ausser auf ein neues Release zu warten keine andere Lösung???? Viele Grüße ric

Hi Ric, wenn du die Galerie lokal installiert hast, dürfte es keine Probleme geben, das muss an etwas anderes liegen die Unix Schreibrechte werden lokal nicht berücksichtigt Cu Hans

Hi Bama, ich experimentiere auf einer Windows Kiste! Es kann vielleicht auch an meinen Konfigfiles liegen(Apache, php) allerdings Blicke ich da noch nicht so ganz durch? Vielleicht ist es sinnvoll mal ein Master Konfigfile abzulegen..... Viele Grüße ric

Hi Ric,

schau mal in deine php.ini ( C:\windows )

in der Standardeinstellung sind einige Sachen nicht eingestellt:

; Directory in which the loadable extensions (modules) reside.
extension_dir = C:\deinPfadvonApache\php\extensions

hier muss dein Pfad zu den extensions stehen

die GD-Bibliothek muss auskomentiert sein,
wird für die Thumbnails benötigt

dann sollte es funktionieren

Hmmm, hab gerade gepostet und es erscheint nix???? Egal, die Einstellungen bis auf den Apache Pfad?? hab ich auch. Bei mir steht allerdings der Pfad zu den extensions(C:\PHP4\extensions). Kann es vielleicht an meiner GD library liegen??? Hab nämlich die Version 2 installiert(php_gd2.dll).... Danke für deine schnellen Antworten ric

Tja, die normale php_gd.dll ist garnicht in meinem Paket..... Wie sollte ich die auch einbinden Was nu? Hab PHP komplett nach Anleitung installiert. Also keine Basteleien oder "patches".

auf keinen Fall, die gd2 ist die neuere Version sag mal, kann du nicht die Galerie online installieren wenn ich den Fehler nicht sehe, kann ich dir nicht weiter helfen nur ins "blaue" hinein, kann ich den ganzen Tag noch schreiben, an was es evtl. liegen könnte Cu Hans

Hallo Hans, ich habe mittlerweile "3" lokale installationen von exoops und der Galerie..... Interessanterweise funzt es jetzt bei einer der Installationen???? Alle Identisch gleiche Versionsstände etc........ Einzig die Rechner Hardware bzw die BS unterscheiden sich??? Wollte dich nur informieren..... Die Galerie gefällt mir so übrigens sehr gut..
